All the printers contribute their own strength to the environmental change, and they also enjoy the physical and mental pleasure brought by the beautiful environment. The printing green has gradually become the consensus of all the printers. In 2018, greening is still the only way for printing companies to upgrade.


Path 1: Whole process prevention


The official proposal of China's green printing concept originated from September 2010, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the former General Administration of Press and Publication jointly signed a green printing strategic cooperation agreement. In March 2011, the first green printing standard was officially approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the green printing product certification of the whole industry began.


According to the requirements of green printing, many printing companies have been active in the past few years. Start from the source reduction, use environmentally friendly raw and auxiliary materials, such as the use of soybean environmentally friendly inks, water-based varnish, use alcohol-free / (small amount of alcohol-reducing) fountain solution, environmentally friendly car wash water, plant starch dusting, use benzene-free or Xylene's environmentally friendly adhesives are gradually increasing the amount of paper used through Continuous Forest Certification (FSC).


In terms of process control, upgrade printing technology to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Adopt CTP direct plate-making technology to reduce production links; add color closed-loop scanning system to printing equipment to reduce school time and reduce paper loading; large-scale printing enterprises use centralized gas supply, centralized water supply, and centralized ink supply system to reduce solid waste generation The dampening solution filtration circulation system reduces the amount of fresh water by 90%.


In the end management, printing companies mainly deal with waste gas, waste water and hazardous waste. The main sources of exhaust gas are inks, fountain solutions, car wash water, adhesives, and the like. Although printing companies, especially book printing companies, have chosen environmentally friendly raw and auxiliary materials, the content of volatile organic compounds is already low, but it still needs to be treated. The main methods are activated carbon adsorption + catalytic combustion, UV photo-oxidation catalytic plasma combined process, biosorption, etc. The volatile organic compounds after treatment have been far below the most stringent Beijing local standard emission limits. The waste water mainly comes from the printing waste liquid (hereinafter referred to as printing waste water) discharged from the waste developing solution and the plated water (hereinafter referred to as prepress wastewater) and the dampening solution circulating filtration system. The prepress wastewater uses low-pressure distillation and concentration technology to achieve water recycling and reduce the generation of liquid hazardous waste by 80%. The printing wastewater is separated into medium-water and liquid hazardous waste by high-molecular flocculation bridge + biofilm process. The hazardous waste mainly comes from the liquid hazardous waste after the pre-press wastewater and printing wastewater treatment, and the plastic liner after the ink tank is used, the activated carbon after the adsorption is saturated, and the wiper cloth. Disposal and transportation of hazardous waste must be handled by a qualified third-party supplier.


Path 2: Reduce consumption and reduce emissions


In addition to the prevention and control of source reduction, process control, and end-of-pipe treatment, printing companies have also made a lot of efforts in energy conservation, emission reduction, and certification audits.


The printing company's power consumption is large, and changing the energy pipeline and facility layout can bring the most direct benefits to the enterprise. Take Beijing Hualian Printing Co., Ltd. as an example, transforming 6 independent air compressors into 3 centralized air supply energy-saving air compressors, the total output power is reduced by more than 20%, and the electricity consumption is saved by 20%-30%, 18 months. It is possible to save the cost of the renovation. In order to achieve low emissions, all fuel forklifts were converted into electric forklifts, trucks and shuttle buses below the national III were eliminated, and they continued to contribute their strength to Beijing's blue sky.


At the same time, through various certification audits to improve cognitive and management capabilities. A considerable number of companies are auditing ISO14001 and green printing certification every year. In recent years, some companies have continued to conduct cleaner production and clean production audits focusing on VOCs. Companies should treat each review as an opportunity to learn and improve themselves from teachers and experts. Through the audit, the company will develop a more complete process for material procurement, incoming material inspection, production process control, waste sorting, hazardous waste treatment, raw materials and third-party inspection of finished products, so that the whole process of printing is green. Low-level energy-saving. In addition, it must accept government and social supervision, fulfill corporate responsibilities, and timely release corporate environmental monitoring information, energy consumption and sewage information, and make it available on the EPA website and company website.


Path 3: System layout


If all of the above are part of the greening process of the first stage printing enterprises, from passive to active, from spontaneous to conscious, from partial to comprehensive, then the next step is to go from comprehensive green printing to system layout, from the standardization of the printing process to Product standardization and then to the Internet of Everything.


From 2011 to the end of 2017, the green printing strategy was implemented for seven years. During the past seven years, the printing industry has been replenishing classes on the one hand and learning on the other. The application of many of the knowledge and techniques mentioned in the first phase is done in the process of exploration, often solving a problem and bringing new problems. Taking Hualian Printing as an example, after the VOCs treatment device is installed in the printing workshop, it can be used to reach the standard discharge. However, during the operation of the whole device, due to the large amount of air, it must be ventilated with the workshop, which affects the temperature variation of the workshop, especially in winter. And in summer, it is impossible to completely achieve constant temperature and humidity. In order to maintain the constant temperature and humidity of the workshop, it is necessary to renovate the door and window glass of the workshop. To make the workshop form a micro-negative pressure, the existing factory building is a major project.


The system layout is to draw on past experience and lessons before the new project, consult and hire experts from all sides to provide suggestions, consider the plant design, production process, environmental protection facilities, energy pipelines and other aspects, scientific layout, reduce redundant construction or try to Avoiding remedies afterwards is the biggest savings in itself.


Path 4: Internet of Everything


The second phase will also go from standardization of the printing process to product standardization to the Internet of Everything. Compared with developed countries, the current domestic production efficiency is still very different. In 2012, when I visited the binding production line of the Pritino printing company in Germany, it was estimated that the efficiency of the company was at least five times that of Hualian Printing. Last month, a group of colleagues visited Japan's printing companies, and returned to share the automation of "post-press plastic + protective cover + heat shrink packaging + packaging full process". In China's book printing companies, post-press personnel are the most departments. First, there are many post-press processes, many equipments, equipment and equipment are not connected, logistics and transportation between processes and processes are long, waiting time is long; second, the product has various specifications, large to small changes, and various packaging methods. The methods required for matching are also diverse, and it is impossible to form a basic standardized product specification. It is difficult for a machine to adapt to a product with a large variation in specifications, or a high development cost and a low return on investment. In order to achieve intelligent production, upstream customers, printing companies, and equipment manufacturers need to understand each other and work together to research and develop automated production equipment that is suitable for the multi-process requirements of China's publishing industry, and then move toward intelligence.
